Shots Fired on Fisher Street

Police were called to Fisher Street, about about 100 feet from Lakeview Avenue, tonight at 11:48 p.m., after someone called 911 to report shots fired by a gray Honda that fled the area immediately afterward.

Officers found three shell casings in the street, but no immediate evidence of victims or damage in the area.

Police are searching for a gray Honda Civic that was seen on West Sixth Street as the call was being dispatched, but it wasn’t immediately clear if it was involved or if it was just another Honda in the area at the time. Honda Civics are pretty ubiquitous in Lowell, so who knows.

I think they’re also trying to get their hands on surveillance video from the liquor store on the corner.

Anyone with information is asked to call Lowell police at 978-937-3200 or Crimestoppers at 978-459-TIPS (8477). Information can also be sent to police via Text-a-Tip, by texting TIP411 (847411) with the subject “LPDTIP.” Tipsters can remain anonymous, but can receive up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest.

  1. There’s a reason we have laws regulating who gets to carry weapons–so idiots who act like they just got a new toy won’t be popping off rounds see if their gun works! USE YOUR BRAIN!
