Attempted Robbery in Billerica

Billerica Police are looking for a white male who used a folding pocketknife in a failed attempt to rob a gas station about an hour ago.

Police were called to the East Billerica Shell, 320 Salem Road, about 9:20 p.m., and discovered a man who had a bandana over his face pulled the folding knife and demanded cash from the register. When a clerk threatened to call 911, the man fled without any cash, according to police radio broadcasts.

The suspect is described as a white male, about 25-years-old, about 6 feet tall, and 180 to 200 pounds. He appeared to have light brown hair.

The man wore a black bandana over the lower half of his face, a gray knitted cap, a three-quarter length, sleeved, black T-shirt, with a thermal undergarment under it. He also wore gray sweatpants and red mittens.

Anyone with information should call Billerica Police at 978.671.0900.
