A 25-year-old Lowell man was flown to Massachusetts General Hospital by a MedFlight helicopter that landed near Chelmsford High School this afternoon after the man was found semi-conscious under an ATV that he was riding on a friend’s property.
Police say the man, who they declined to identify, did not appear to have broken any laws and that alcohol does not appear to be involved.
Emergency crews were called to 157 Middlesex Street about 4:50 p.m., after the 25-year-old was found underneath an ATV. He was riding on a back yard track at a friend’s house, but was riding alone when he apparently crashed. His friends found him a short time later, according to police.
Emergency crews feared the man may have suffered internal injuries, so he was flown to Mass General. His condition was not immediately available.
