Egg hunts, dressing in bunny suits, and squeezing off a few rounds into a Volkswagen Jetta all appear to be activities people took part in here in Lowell on Easter morning.
Officers were called to the area of 61 Clare St., near Sargent Street, Easter morning about 7:30 a.m., after a 911 caller reported hearing two to three gunshots.
Officers found a green Volkswagon Jetta with bullet holes in the front and rear passenger side windows and the trunk. No casings were found at the scene. Residents could describe nothing more than a small motor vehicle that fled down Clare Street around the time of the shots.
Residents said they had no idea why anyone would shoot their car. Happy Easter!
