Lowell Firefighters got called to 33 Bolt Street tonight at 10:58 p.m., when someone called 911 to report a structure fire.
The first crew on scene reported smoke showing, and the race was on.
The large white house at 33 Bolt Street was vacant, and surrounded by industrial properties.
There was a lot of smoke, but the only bit of visible flame was on the right side of the house, and it was quickly taken care of by the gentleman pictured below.
This was a pretty big two and a half story house, but crews kept this to a one-alarm fire, and no one was hurt.
Deputy Flynn reported the fire was under control at 11:20 p.m.
The RIT team went home, but the first-alarm crews are still on scene overhauling and chasing some hot spots.
Nice work on this one. When this fire got called in at just before 11, I did not think I’d be going home on time tonight.
